Thundering of Hooves lives in a large valley on the edge of a mountain range. The grass is green most of the year and the herd is protected from harsh winter winds by the tall mountains. The herd was given the name Thundering of Hooves because when all the horses start running together, the sound of their hoofbeats echoes off the mountain walls and makes a loud thundering noise.
